About Me
My journey into garden design began with a lifelong bond to nature, shaped by my childhood roots in the countryside. Before founding Maya Studio, I trained and worked as a clinical psychologist and mental health practitioner, supporting people through deep processes of healing. Over time, I was called to bring this understanding of human wellbeing into a new field — retraining as a garden designer and RHS-certified horticulturalist.
For over twenty years I have been a dedicated practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, studying ritual and contemplative traditions that honour the living relationship between land, people, and cycles of nature. This path has given me an in-depth education in practices that treat the earth as sacred and see landscape as both a mirror and a guide for inner transformation.
Maya Studio is the weaving together of these threads — psychology, ecology, design, and ancient wisdom — to create spaces where land and people can heal each other.
